Not much to talk about this week, busy with all of the usual stuff, school stuff with Jamie, taking him here or there to cubs, guitar, drama etc etc. Drama is good as I get an hour and a half totally undisturbed whilst I wait for him and I do my homework!! It works well for me!
I am so pleased that Jamie is loving cubs so much - he has really got into it and has made some friends there too which is brilliant. It challenges him, teaches self reliance and reinforces good behaviour, makes children think about their place in the world and the role they can play in their local community and all this whilst they have fun too. This week they went on the train from MK to W - only a trip of 10 minutes but they did it as a group on their own. There was supervision from a distance but they did it themselves, and gained some independence and a real sense of achievement. Their reward, a bag of chips at the other end and that went down really really well!
It was the Nafas Flower Club AGM this week so no displays or demonstrations to watch this time, but it's nice to know the club is thriving and was a great find.
Almost done with the blooming assignments too.
Ciao
