Once Jamie was safely back at school we got on with the final decorating to be done which was our sitting room. It really only needed a fresh coat of paint which Mike gave it and it is so bright again. We couldn't decide if we needed a border which we felt meant it didn't so we have some lovely clean and bright ivory coloured walls and lovely white paintwork again. We had experimented with an off white/buttermilk colour paint on the doors and woodwork but that was a huge mistake and the white makes the whole room look so much brighter. Note to self do not ever take any notice of those makeover shows - they never have to live with the rooms once they leave!!
So now we have been right through the house, albeit with the sitting room a little later than we had originally planned so before we know it it will be time to start it all again! A house, its just like The Fourth Bridge, get to one end and then you have to start again.
No, that will be it for now, I need to get some things planted in the garden for my flower arranging but other than that we can give all of that a rest now!!
