Saturday 9th May
Since Jamie has changed schools, our lives have changed beyond recognition in many ways. At his previous school we always had to have a set routine and deviated from it very little. We took Jamie out of the school because he was being bullied and since he has been at his new school, about 4 months now fun seems to have come back into his school life, something which was sadly lacking at his old school, shame on you AWJS.
He loves school, loves his teacher, his work and all of his friends, those he knew at infant school, who he has just picked up with as if he had never been away and those new friends he has made since starting his new school.
Weekends especially see a constant stream of children calling around to play, phoning to play Club Penguin on the computer, which is the big thing amongst Jamie and his classmates. Now we struggle to get some time to see Jamie at all! Well not quite, but nearly! This weekend there was a trail of the usual suspects, although as Mike was on night shift, they were quickly despatched off to the park, so as not to wake him up - something not to be recommended when he is on night shift!
And then we had an impromptu sleepover, with just 2, Jamie and Kian. They were still chatting away at 1.00pm when they had to be threatened with Mike coming home for his middle of the night lunch break, they were asleep before he landed home at about 1.30pm - I knew I was going to be tired the next day. We have come up with a plan of action for next time, so I will let you know if it works, but if you have any magic suggestions for getting children to sleep on a sleepover, please let me know! I have promised to have a mega-sleepover with 4 of them, am I mad?
Ciao
