Wednesday - Bolt (ing) to the Cinema

All of the usual stuff this morning, chores, walking etc etc. Then we headed off to an early show at the cinema to see Bolt, which was thoroughly enjoyable. Somehow we had managed to miss this one first time round but finally caught up with it today. I guess it was 'The Truman Show' for children, well almost. Bolt is a very special dog who stars in a action/adventure children's TV show, but he doesn't know he's in a show and thinks it is all for real. When he thinks his 'person', Penny is in danger he escapes but due to some misfortunes ends up on the streets of New York.






Bolt is befriended by an alley cat, Mittens, and a hamster, Rhino and they travel across America to get Bolt back to his person. When they arrive in Las Vegas, Mittens reveals her history and says she will not continue, so Bolt continues alone. Rhino persuades Mittens to finish the journey and they reunite with Bolt. Bolt does eventually become a real hero, but I won't totally spoil it for you. A very enjoyable film.



After we left the cinema, we headed to Debenhams to collect my prize, which I had won in a competition I entered in the newspaper. I had totally forgotten all about it, so when I got the email it was a lovely surprise. The prize turned out to be a Givenchy gift set, with perfume and body lotion, Very Irresistible and very lovely too. So a pretty good day all around.
